Activated Performer
of the Weekend
Act 1 Talent is excited to introduce our Activated Performer of the Weekend in 2025! All registered dancers are invited to participate in this new improv competition at our event every weekend. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their creativity, technical skills, and ability to think quickly on their feet.
The improv competition will take place on the main stage, with dancers either performing in small groups or individually. All registered performers will be given the same amount of time to improv and impress the judges with their spontaneous and captivating performance.
Dancers will be evaluated by our judges based on the following criteria:
- Originality and creativity of the movement
- Technical execution and precision
- Interpretation and expression of the music
- Overall stage presence and performance quality
This new addition to our event weekend promises to be a thrilling display of the competitors’ versatility, quick-thinking, and exceptional dance abilities. Spectators can expect to be thoroughly entertained as they witness the dancers rise to the challenge and deliver unforgettable performances.
To participate dancers must already be a registered participant of the competition. Dancers must register for the improv competition on-site prior to the start of their designated class. Registered dancers will receive an ACTIVATED PERFORMER number. Numbers must be worn and visible for the improv competition.
One dancer from each improv competition will be selected. Winners will receive the title of ACTIVATED PERFORMER OF THE WEEKEND, scholarship award & an ACTIVATED PERFORMER t-shirt.
